Ripple has announced a partnership with Privy, a wallet infrastructure company owned by Stripe, to make it easier for developers to embed XRP Ledger wallets directly into their applications. The move aims to lower the technical barrier that has long kept many builders from adding crypto functionality to their products.
Under the arrangement, Privy will provide tools that let developers create and manage wallets without writing complex blockchain code. Users get self-custodial wallets that work inside apps they already use, while developers avoid the burden of building key management systems from scratch.
Scott Melker discussed the deal on his show, noting that the collaboration could push XRP Ledger into more mainstream consumer and business applications. He pointed out that wallet integration remains one of the biggest friction points for crypto adoption, and that Stripe's involvement through Privy adds a layer of credibility.
The partnership reflects a broader trend of crypto firms teaming up with established fintech infrastructure providers. By combining Ripple's ledger technology with Privy's developer-friendly tools, the two companies hope to speed up the creation of apps that use XRP Ledger for payments, tokenization, and other use cases. Developers can now test the integration through Privy's existing platform.
