TFI International Inc. has announced that Steve Mayer will join its Board of Directors, effective October 29, 2026. The company, a major player in the North American transportation and logistics sector, confirmed the appointment in a statement released from Montreal.
Mayer brings more than three decades of investment banking experience to the role. Over the course of his career, he has worked with prominent firms including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Greenhill & Co. His background centers on advising leading Canadian companies through domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as capital markets transactions involving the United States.
The appointment adds considerable financial and strategic expertise to the board. Mayer's long tenure in investment banking gives him deep insight into deal structuring, corporate finance and the complexities of cross-border business activity, all of which are relevant to a company operating across North American markets.
TFI International has not yet indicated which committees Mayer might join or what specific responsibilities he will take on. His term begins at the end of October, and the company said the addition reflects its ongoing effort to strengthen board oversight and strategic guidance.
