Putrajaya late‑night error corrected as Finance Ministry assures Budi95 quota remains at 200 litres

PUTRAJAYA, June 1 - The Finance Ministry has moved to correct a late-night system error that briefly caused confusion among Budi95 users. The glitch, which occurred on the ministry's online platform, temporarily displayed a lower fuel quota for some account holders. Officials have since confirmed that the standard monthly allowance remains unchanged at 200 litres per user.

The error surfaced when a number of Budi95 recipients reported seeing a reduced quota after logging into their accounts late Wednesday evening. The discrepancy sparked concern among users who rely on the subsidised fuel scheme. In a statement released early Thursday, the Finance Ministry acknowledged the technical fault and assured the public that no actual changes had been made to the programme's terms.

"We have identified and rectified the system error that affected the display of quota information," a ministry spokesperson said. "All Budi95 beneficiaries can continue to access their full 200-litre entitlement as per the original policy."

The ministry also advised users to refresh their account details or contact the helpdesk if they encounter similar issues in the future. The Budi95 programme, aimed at easing the cost of living for lower-income households, provides a monthly subsidy on fuel purchases. The government has stressed that the quota adjustment was a display error only and that no policy changes are currently under consideration.
